Prediction of Fan Tone Radiation Scattered By A Cylindrical Fuselage

چکیده
Abstract A theoretical prediction method of the scattering fan tone radiation from a turbofan inlet duct by airframe fuselage is presented. The noise modelled an acoustic disc source that represents sound field at termination. Adjacent to cylindrical scatters radiation. valid for upstream pressure on affected refraction as it propagates through boundary layer. This effect known layer shielding more prominent forward turbofan, since radiated propagating upstream. An asymptotic approach used model propagation which thin linear shear velocity profile. Consequently scattered can be computed very quickly, thus providing fast and efficient method. Although realistic turbulent does not resemble layer, shown taking liner profile with shape factor matches

Prediction of the Rear Fuselage Temperature with Radiation Shield
In order to enhance the aircraft survivability, the infrared signatures emitted by hot engine parts should be determined exactly. For its reduction it is necessary for the rear fuselage temperature to be decreased. In this study, numerical modeling of flow fields and heat transfer characteristics of an aircraft nozzle is performed and its temperature distribution along each component wall is pr...

متن کاملNumerical Prediction of Exhaust Fan Tone Noise from High Bypass Aircraft Engines
The ability to accurately predict fan noise is important in designing and optimizing aircraft engine turbofans for low noise emissions. In this paper, a prediction methodology for exhaust fan tone noise analysis is described and validated against various canonical test cases and NASA Source Diagnostic Test (SDT) data. The prediction process consists of solving Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (R...
متن کاملDepolarization ratio of Rayleigh scattered radiation by molecules.
The depolarization ratios of Rayleigh scattered radiation by molecules has been used to measure the ratio of anisotropic polarizability to isotropic (average) polarizability in the laboratory. The authors have calculated the depolarization ratio for N2, CH3Cl, and H2O from the first principles. It is shown that the depolarization ratio derived from input polarizabilities differs by a factor of ...
متن کاملLateral coherence of aerosol-scattered laser radiation.
To assess the probability of detection (by interferometric techniques) of illumination by a coherent source, we characterize the lateral coherence of the off-axis aerosol scattered radiation by applying the van Cittert-Zernike theorem. We find that, for 1.061-microm radiation at a target range of 1 km, the scattered radiation beyond 3.5 cm off axis does not display appreciable lateral coherence.
